In keeping with tradition, Ms Sheehan’s annual Jersey Day will take place today, (Friday 2nd September 2016) before Sunday’s All-Ireland hurling final.  This annual school event has in the past raised much needed funds & awareness for Ireland’s sporting charity, GOAL.  In fact, over €700 was raised last year so a big THANK YOU to everyone who has participated and donated to this very worthy cause over the years.

However, in a temporary departure, the benefactors of today’s event is the school’s Sports Fund which will go towards the running cost of our many successful teams including Hurling, Camogie, Football, Soccer, Basketball, Badminton, Handball, Athletics and Archery.

With both Kilkenny & Tipperary contesting this year’s All-Ireland Hurling final there was no shortage of colour on show from both Students & Staff!  As illustrated from the photo of our 1st years below, everyone got behind their county or other sporting teams they are connected with.  Any students who did not have a jersey as such wore suitable colours in keeping with the theme.
